I earned a masters degree in public health/evaluative sciences from State University of New York (SUNY) and hold a bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery (BAMS) from Bombay University in Maharashtra, India. BAMS is a professional degree in medicine focused on Ayurveda offered in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and other South Asian countries. It requires five and a half years of study, including a one-year internship.
I worked as a family physician and health consultant at the Self Clinic in Mumbai, India, before moving with my family to United States in 2005. Since then, i have worked as a research assistant and most recently served as a health counselor. I provide comprehensive Ayurvedic nutritional and lifestyle information and strategies to improve and maintain health and wellness, specifically tailoring the strategies to achieve an individual’s optimal health.
in a 60-minute Ayurvedic consultation, we will discuss your your health, lifestyle and major concerns. Pulse diagnosis (Nadi Parishan), tongue examination, and dosha analysis is included. You will receive diet, herbal supplements, exercise, yoga and life style recommendations.
